M.2 SATA SSD's are only supported in the models that came with them from the factory. So, I can order Kingston KVR16LS11/8 - 8GB will need to replace the 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a 2.5" SSD.

As I know there is only one RAM/Memory slot, HOWEVER HP Maintenance and Service Guide claims Memory 2 SODIMM slots DDR3L-1600 [Support for DDR3L-1600 Support for dual channel Supports up to 16384-MB maximum on-board system should use DDR3L-1600 (1.35V) memory.
One supports 1.5 V while another supports 1.35 V Someone on reddit claims that can order DDR3 and use without issue however Module Nominal Voltage (VDD) not same. Before I order new SSD and 8GB RAM, I have to make sure if it supports for either DDR3 or DDR3L. To make sure, I lately called a service point to clarify and it was told me Product Number: P1S34EA supports for DDR3. As per service guide of affected device: Memory supports for DDR3L as well HP support webpage showing DDR3L Also, Speccy shows RAM as DDR3īut I am confused here… When I run CPU-Z, it shows memory DDR3L. When I run HWiNFO64 it shows Memory Type as DDR3.When I run Task Manager > Performance > Memory it shows DDR3.I am confused here while I am checking the Device Specs/HW parts using different software e.g., CPU-Z, Speccy and HWiNFO64 providing me inaccurate information. As many of you know, it’s an old device so I like to upgrade RAM and SSD to have better performance. Now, I like to use this HP Pavilion notebook as back up device.
